One of the world’s finest coffees, produced by the top-tier R.S.W Estate in the Blue Mountain region of Jamaica – the legendary Jamaica Blue Mountain No. 1. Its aroma is elegant and subtle, with a well-balanced flavor and a naturally smooth acidity. The overall experience is refreshing and bright, yet the aftertaste lingers. The Blue Mountain range is located on the eastern side of Jamaica island. Surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, on clear days, the sunlight reflects off the azure waters, casting a brilliant blue glow from the mountain peaks, which is how it got its name.
The highest peak in the Blue Mountains stands at 2,256 meters above sea level, making it the tallest in the Caribbean and a famous tourist destination. This region lies in an earthquake zone with fertile volcanic soil, fresh air, no pollution, and a humid climate with frequent mist and rain. The average rainfall is 1,980 mm, and temperatures hover around 27°C. This unique climate contributes to the globally renowned Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. Most importantly, every afternoon, the clouds and mist cover the mountaintop, providing natural shade for the coffee trees and bringing abundant moisture. As a result, only coffee grown at altitudes above 1,800 meters can be classified as Blue Mountain Coffee.
The Blue Mountain range runs through Jamaica, and this area, with altitudes above 2,000 meters, cool, misty weather, and ample rainfall, is one of the best regions for coffee cultivation in the world. R.S.W. Estate is made up of three estates: Resource, Sherwood Forest, and Whitfield Hall. After harvesting, the coffee is sent to Sherwood for processing. Before export, the coffee is tested by the Jamaica Coffee Industry Board and only those that pass the inspection are shipped in wooden barrels.
Jamaica Blue Mountain beans are uniform, full-bodied, and rich in flavor. Aside from the high-competition beans, Jamaica Blue Mountain’s extraordinary quality has long held its position as one of the world’s most expensive coffees. It perfectly balances acidity, bitterness, sweetness, and smoothness, creating a strong, enticing, and unforgettable elegant aroma.
Le Brewlife® Jamaica Blue Mountain No. 1 – Awarded a high score of 92 in the 2021 Coffee Review of the United States!
