Brazil has been the global leader in Arabica coffee production for many years, with most coffee farms being managed by large estates and corporations. The coffee trees are planted in rows, and the processing plants are several stories high with industrial harvesting machines, which is the image of Brazilian coffee for many people.

The renowned coffee-producing region, Cerrado Mineiro, is located in the northwestern part of Minas Gerais State, Brazil. It is recognized as a high-quality coffee-producing area and was the first region in Brazil to be protected under the government’s Protected Geographical Indication (PGI). This region has a unique climate that is ideal for coffee growth, with distinct seasons—humid and hot summers, and dry, comfortable winters. Many coffee farms are planted at altitudes ranging from 800 to 1300 meters. The fertile soil allows for the cultivation of sweet, full-bodied coffee with no earthy flavors, known for its stable yields and excellent quality.
